If you read this blog you probably live in reality and don’t have your head up you’re a##. As such, you may realize that the current political regime is working hard to destroy our nation by allowing unmitigated, and fully encouraged, illegal invasion of the country. Most administrations, except for the one directly prior, have also allowed this to happen, but the current administration has set out to flood our country with invaders at a pace never seen before. The number of illegals entering the country are many thousands a day. If you think we will not see negative fallout from this, you remain a special kind of stupid.
Beyond the obvious political problems with the open border, as well as the strain it is on our economic system, what this author is concerned with is the increase in criminal and terrorist activity due to this influx. The truth is, the vast majority of people illegally penetrating our borders are, indeed, looking for a better life. However, even if it is a small minority, there remains a certain minority of bad actors coming with them. We will see the ramifications of this sooner than later.
Beyond the terror threat, which is definite, a big problem with the open border is the uninterrupted entry of gang members from various Latin American nations. MS13 type gangs, and worse. MS13 has been in this nation for decades, but many of their rivals are now setting up shop. Cartels are gaining footholds among vulnerable populations, including setting up shop on Native American populations. Interesting how the bleeding hearts that proclaim such concern for disenfranchised populations support the open border that is killing said populations at 100+ thousand a year due to illegal fentanyl overdoses. Hypocrite much?
The threat is real, it is here, and it is here now. Carry your gun everywhere, carry a gun you can fight with, and don’t spend time in the blue cities that declare themselves sanctuaries for criminals yet take your right to protect yourself from you.

live fire is an essential, I just got out to check zero on one of mine. It’s been too long since I shot, and my group size shows it. I need to find time and money to get out more often. Excuses carry no weight, but ammo and range time keep going up faster than my paycheck.

I hear you with that, the current economy is no friend to firearms training. With that said, dry fire is your friend, and maximize the live fire you do. Anyone who dry fires regularly is way ahead of the curve.
