Deep Dive on Duty to Retreat Versus Stand your Ground Law

I am not an attorney, yet as an educator in this space I study Use of Force Law quite extensively.  If you carry a handgun for self-defense, you are doing yourself an enormous disservice if you are not well informed and educated on the laws that govern the use of force in personal protection.  In this episode of the USA Carry podcast we dive deep into the legal concepts of Stand your Ground law, what it is and what it is not, as compared to Duty to Retreat doctrine.

Spoiler: if you can walk away from a confrontation before it turns violent, you are a fool if you do not do so, regardless of the laws in your particular state.  Conduct yourself as if duty to retreat is always in play, even if you live in a state with Stand your Ground law.
