While anecdotal evidence is not a reliable indication of trends, at some point, when everyone is seeing the same anecdotes, it is time to compare notes. The very low crime neighborhood, and county in general, in which I have now lived for over a decade has seen a massive uptick in violent crime in the past several years. We are cursed with a woke prosecutor here that is well funded by a particular billionaire, so need I explain further? The results are in.
The current regime that is ruing the nation is using their propaganda mouthpiece, the mainstream media, to declare that crime is down, don’t ya know!
Now, not that the average shlub who listens to NPR and thinks he is getting actual news cares about this, but statistics can point to any trend when they are not gathered properly, or, in this case, not gathered at all.
Various sources indicate that a third or more of law enforcement agencies are not reporting their crime data to the FBI who track these statistics on an annual basis. Couple that with the fact that many big cities have a recruitment and retention problem, due to the defund the police stupidity of recent years, and these agencies are simply not responding to a huge proportion of reported crimes. At this point, tracked crime statistics are so far off the mark that the media lies of lowering crime rates should be completely disregarded by anyone who believes in critical thinking and pragmatism over emotionally driven stupidity.
Without getting hyperbolic, I would not be surprised if, at some point in time when some shred of honesty comes back into political leadership, we discover that the post 2020 years witnessed violent crime at a rate higher than the early 1990s statistical peak.
Large, blue, soft-on-crime urban areas simply don’t prosecute criminals for anything short of homicide. Is it any wonder that the criminal population is emboldened? Add to that the influx of untold thousands of criminals that have streamed over our wide-open boarders. Latin American gang activity is at unprecedented highs, and drug cartels have set up footholds among the most vulnerable populations.
So, what to do?
Well, to begin with, vote. Who should you vote for? I would suggest the party opposite of the one that controls with super majority every large urban center as the policies of such should speak for themselves. See what is happening in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Baltimore, DC, etc…? Like the ideas of wading through homeless encampments and stepping over hypodermic needles and human feces to make your way to your office? Like getting punched in the face by repeat, violent felons? Like flash mobs of teenagers looting your stores? Want those policies to come to your town? No? Then vote against that political party. Oh, a reminder, that is the same party that wants to put you in jail for owning a magazine that can hold more than 10 rounds. It is the same party that prevents you from being able to carry a pistol into these afore mentioned, utter shithole, cities that they control. Vote.
Second: stay out of the blue urban places if at all possible. These locations restrict your constitutional rights of self-defense and self-preservation while empowering the criminals that prey on the disarmed. These are also the places with woke prosecutors that will defend repeat, violent, felons, yet drop the book on you if you dare protect yourself against one of their beloved thugs.
Third: carry your gun, all the time, and don’t go to the places that prohibit you from doing so.
Fourth: don’t get involved with third party affairs, ESPECIALLY if in blue areas. Not your people, not your problem. The exception, to my way of thinking, is that I will not tolerate a child getting victimized under any circumstances. An adult? Not my people, not my problem. Chivalry is dead; the political left killed it when they started imprisoning those who would dare protect other innocent people and stand up against thugs. This is why women now get raped on crowded subways and nobody does anything about it. Why would they? So that the prosecutor can put them in prison for harming a thug? Not your people, not your problem.
It is a sad state of affairs, but until our society starts to educate itself beyond the lies of the mainstream media, here we are. Crime has skyrocketed and we should act accordingly.
