The world of terrorism is hardly rational. One particular irony is that the Shia terror factions and the Sunni terror factions hate each other as much, if not more, than they hate Israel or the United States. Hizballah is a Shia militia in Lebanon, founded and backed by Iran, and their primary focus has been on fighting Israel. Hizballah got on the wrong side of the United States primarily due to their suicide attack on our Marine base and Embassy in Lebanon in the early 1980s, shortly after the founding of the group. They have been behind other anti-American actions since, but compared to the Sunni terror groups, most notably Al Qaeda and ISIS, they pale in comparison in terms of directly antagonizing the United States.
Hizballah actually played a significant part in fighting ISIS, as they were in league with the Bashar administration in Syria, again, the Shia/Sunni thing. That’s how they roll. The leader of Hizballah, Hassan Nasrallah, who was just killed days ago as of this writing, has been the head of that organization since the early 1990s. In the world of monsters, he was arguably a “moderate” monster, as he tended towards shying away from direct antagonization of the United States. While nobody should be disappointed that he has met his demise, this opens a potential pandora’s box. The devil we know is now going to be replaced with the devil we don’t know; perhaps one that is not deterred by the ramifications of direct action against the USA.
There is good evidence that many Hizballah terror cells are inside of the Continental United States. The presence of these cells goes back to the 1990s, but they are now bolstered by the open boarder policy of the current traitors in government. Ultimately, they probably take orders from Tehran. However, at this point, the long-time head of Hizballah is gone, and his comparatively level-headed approach to not directly incite extermination via the United States military might be gone with him. Who knows what fanatic takes the reigns of this group, and who knows what will come down the pike to activate the sleeper cells here.
I think there is a good chance that, should Iran dedicate to a full attack on Israel, and incite retaliation from the United States, we might see the order come down to activate. We may be in for another 9/11. Such an act may result in the Middle East going up in napalm, but they may not care at this point. This new threat is all courtesy of this current, pathetically weak, administration that inhabits the White House.
Head on a swivel, and go armed, everywhere. An armed citizen, at the right spot and time, might change the course of history this time around. Of course, we all know that any big attack will, no doubt, transpire in a Democrat run no-freedom zone in which everyone is disarmed, so my advice is to stay out of those places for a while.
