It seems that many have not received the memo; is no longer the 1970s or 1980s. During those decades there was significant “right wing” violence. Even in the 1990s there were remnants, climaxing with the horrific Oklahoma City Bombing. Right wing American extremism is not fascist, as it is in Europe, despite what the hopelessly stupid keep saying. Rather, it is anarchist. And, in the hay day of such right-wing extremism, leftist extremism was alive and well the whole time, with many communist-backed groups committing violence. Hollywood ignores those incidents, choosing instead to make plenty of movies about “right-wing” anarchist groups, despite the fact that leftist groups were as much, or more, a problem even then.
So far, in the 21st Century, politically motivated violence is dominated by leftist extremism. There does remain, however, accelerationist groups on both the left and right, but it is an absolute fabrication to claim most political violence comes from the right. One of the bastardized means of making this claim is the fact that every single individual who was in, or even near, the capital building on January 6th is counted in the statistics as a unique event of “right-wing” extremism. Convenient. We should then count every protester who took part in the BLM insanity of 2020 as left-wing extremist violence.
For those interested in facts rather than politically motivated fiction, the vast majority of political violence in the past 30 years has derived from the left. Two assassination attempts on Donald Trump. The attack on the Steve Scalise baseball game. The assassination of Charlie Kirk. The burning of Josh Shapiro’s home. The attempted assassination of a supreme court justice. The more recent placement of explosives near a church frequented by one of the conservative justices. The list goes on, and on, and on.
The spate of attacks on churches is also directly tied to left-wing violence. Many of these incidents have been committed by trans individuals. The church, and religion in general, is the epitome of what leftists despise.
Why are leftists so inclined towards violence? There are three factors at play:
First, all of the left’s arguments are devoid of factual backing and are purely emotional in nature. This attracts the element of society that is emotionally unstable to begin with. Who is more likely to throw a drink in your face during a political argument, your conservative uncle Joe or your liberal, blue haired cousin, Jane? They are emotionally driven, thus much more prone to violent outburst. When you shatter their world view with simple facts, they react violently to preserve their delusions that are critical to their self-identity.
Second, they consider themselves perpetual victims of the oppressor class. Who is the oppressor? Well, conservatives, naturally. Leftists who are minorities consider themselves chronic victims. White leftists consider themselves virtuous for being ever in atonement for the sins of the past. Any violation of these falsehoods with facts is an attack on self-identity, and will be met with hostility.
Third, the over-arching difference between left and right is this: personal responsibility. The political right believes in personal responsibility, the left believes in dependency on government. For example, how should we deal with violent criminals? The right says lock them up in prison. The left says criminals are victims of society, so let them out to run amok. When a person commits a heinous act, is it that individual’s fault? According to the left, it is society’s fault, not the fault of the individual who is, assuredly, oppressed and a victim of the capitalist system, or the patriarchy, or whatever other delusional crap they come up with. There is no personal responsibility for the left. Therefore, If the individual is never responsible for their own actions, what moral compass remains to deter one from using violence?
The vast majority of criminal actors are leftists. The violent criminal always considers himself a victim. Criminals always favor Democrat policy, as the party of the left goes lenient on violent offenders and empowers them. Beyond criminal violence, however, is a stark and ever-present reminder that many leftists accept, and even celebrate, the use of violence against those they disagree with. Just observe the reaction of many to the assassination of Charlie Kirk, or the recent election of a Virginia Attorney General who was scandalized by vicious, violent threats against the children of his political opponent. Years ago, such threats would have ended the carrier of a janitor, let alone a politician, but today such violence is A-OK with democrat voters.
When conservatives challenge the endemic falsehoods held by leftists, they react harshly. That is why communists are always far more motivated to use violence than are those on the right. Consider this when they pass blatantly unconstitutional laws and demand that you hand over your guns.
