Iranian Sleeper Cells: What are They Waiting For?

New intelligence is pointing to 100+ Iranian sleeper cells within CONUS.  The group that claims this previously thought it was around 30.

This has been a topic of major concern, especially since the strike on Iran’s nuclear capability last summer.  People in the know have proposed that these cells would activate following the death of the Supreme Leader in Iran, or on authorization of a fatwa from one of the higher-up Ayatollahs.  Both have come to pass in the past month.  However, another possible trigger that has been suggested is an attack on Iranian power, infrastructure, and energy.  This is projected to happen this week.

The reality remains that we won’t know how valid this concern is until something happens.  The notion that they are here seems quite legitimate, as why would they not be after the past several years of open borders and lax immigration security?  Personally, I would think that the killing of the Supreme Leader would have been the go signal, but nothing yet.

The Iranians seem to be good at playing the long game, so a mass attack on CONUS might be an ace card played when the regime truly faces the moment of collapse, which at this point, does not look probable in the near future.

Ultimately, as a prepared citizen, there is but one course of action: be prepared for anything, at any time.  Remember that concerns of Iranian cells do not even consider what may be the more likely concern; a coordinated attack coming from the usual suspects who wear black pajamas.

Have your home stocked for a long period of disruption, have a family plan to get everyone home, and exercise vigilance and awareness of your surroundings everywhere.  And, certainly, stay armed at all times.
